Consilio Expands Global Presence and Launches Innovative Document Review Service Offerings to Meet Market Demand

Increased Client Reliance on Cost-Effective Services Drives Consilio’s Expansion

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 6, 2014 – Consilio, a Symphony Technology Group (STG) company and global leader in eDiscovery software and review services, today announced the expansion of its Document Review Services offering. Consilio’s extended services include developments on three fronts: augmented global reach, greater access to top-tier document reviewers, and innovative services that raise efficiency while lowering costs.

Consilio is committed to serving multinational corporations and law firms wherever they do business. To meet their needs for in-region review, Consilio has made significant investments recently to expand its global review centers. To increase capacity, the company renovated its Tokyo office and moved to new offices in London and Frankfurt. Consilio has also procured additional space in Brussels and expanded its facility in Tampa, Florida. The company is also increasing its footprint in Washington, D.C.

This investment reflects feedback from clients who already rely on Consilio for high-quality, cost-effective document review and eDiscovery services. As Adam Pollitt, Consilio’s Executive Vice President, notes, “Clients want to work with providers who can deliver cost-effective, local document review services that respect data privacy and protection obligations. Consilio’s global service centers, located in key financial markets around the globe, offer access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology that help clients expedite review and save money.”

In concert with its effort to build physical facilities to meet client demands, Consilio has committed to recruiting top-flight contract lawyers sourced by multilingual staff with unparalleled experience, such as Dr. iur. Kallia Gkavela, Consilio’s Associate Director, Document Review Services for EMEA and APAC.

According to Dr. Gkavela, the company has noted a sharp uptick in requests for document review services abroad. She added, “Great client service begins with great people. For Consilio to deliver on its promise of accurate and cost-effective review, the precondition is to have best-caliber reviewers and review managers well-versed in both local laws and demanding workflows that can generate successful outcomes. With this staff in place, Consilio has set all conditions necessary to deliver services that surpass our clients’ expectations.

To offer the lowest possible price in document review without sacrificing quality, Consilio now offers the most innovative service model on the market. Unlike the traditional hourly models used by other companies, Consilio offers clients a unique per-document pricing option: a flat rate inclusive of predictive coding licensing and a best-practice workflow to guide the process. This option can dramatically lower the cost of review–in some cases as low as $.27 per document–by eliminating irrelevant documents that would otherwise be returned in keyword searches. It also allows clients to predict their budget so they can make smarter decisions about discovery strategy earlier in litigation and investigations.

Dan DeLorenzo, a Senior Director at Consilio, remarked, “Clients want to work with providers who can lower costs and shorten the overall time of review while ensuring the process remains defensible. Consilio has accomplished these goals with its affordable per-document pricing option, where we leverage advanced technology, on behalf of our clients. Along with Consilio’s best practice workflows, we can lower the costs of document review by 20 to 50 percent compared to pricing models based on traditional, keyword-based linear review.”
