Washington, D.C. – January 7, 2020 – Consilio, a global leader in eDiscoverydocument reviewrisk management, and legal consulting services, released its inaugural “Diversity & Inclusion 2018-2019 Annual Report.”  The report, a first for the legal services industry, highlights progress and achievements in Consilio’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of inclusion where employees can grow professionally and personally while cultivating their diverse strengths.

“Individuals of diverse backgrounds have been historically underrepresented in the legal and technology professions,” said Andy Macdonald, Chief Executive Officer. “We know that by defining our vision & mission, by understanding where we stand as an organization and by supporting effective internal practices and external community programs, we can better plan and grow to be a more diverse and inclusive workforce of the future we want. These values are held in common with our most successful, strongest client relationships and are a critical pillar of our drive to deliver a superior client experience.”

Notably, Consilio expanded its D&I program in 2019 through the appointment of Amy Hinzmann as Chief Client Experience & Diversity Officer and lead of Consilio’s Diversity and Inclusion program. Hinzmann established a D&I Advisory Board this year, which includes leaders from all levels at Consilio as well as client organizations to help guide efforts, and oversaw the development of Consilio’s mission statement.

“Consilio’s Diversity & Inclusion program is representative of the values we’ve always shared and acted upon,” said Amy Hinzmann, Chief Client Experience & Diversity Officer. “We’re encouraged by the engagement and excitement by our employees, clients, and community partners in building a global, inclusive culture where our employees feel valued, trusted, and empowered to better serve our clients while cultivating and celebrating their diverse strengths. This report, produced annually, will serve as an important waypoint for the progress we’ve made and our road ahead.”

The report also provides an overview of Consilio’s workforce demographics and spotlights its executive leaders, of which 50% are diverse, including Raj Chandrasekar, Chief Technology Officer, Meredith Kildow, Chief Revenue Officer, Natalie Stute, Chief Human Resources Officer and Hinzmann.

Consilio also reported a gender breakdown of its Project Management leadership, in which 75% of senior directors and 62% of directors are female, while females account for 38% and 53% of technical and portfolio leads, respectively. The report also underscores the fundamental challenge of having incomplete information about the diverse characteristics of employees – particularly around race and ethnicity – from which to benchmark progress.
